Hatha
Anusara Vinyasa Yoga
Yoga of Awareness based in Pranayama, Mudra and Mantra, as well as meditation.
Breath & heart centered joyful, healing group classes. We'll work on finding
our optimal alignment: when we align with the Universe - good things happen!
This style of yoga is characterized by a focus on alignment and vinyasa or
a dynamic connecting posture that creates a flow between the more static traditional
yoga postures (asanas). Vinyasa translates as linking and also implies the
linking of the movement to the breath. Essentially the breath dictates the
movement and the length of time held in the postures emphasizing the development
of strength, stamina, flexibility and balance, as well as concentration (Dharana)
and meditation (Dhyana).
In each class we'll practice how to align with our highest potential to be
able to express it more fully in our lives.
If you have injuries like ankle sprain & back pain, we'll work on strengthening through the use of the alignment principles. Each class we'll end with a Restorative yoga posture that invites a healing space for well-being.

Pilates
Alignment based Pilates classes: Pilates works on concentration, precise,
controlled flowing movements along with the breath. Pilates will help you
build flexibility, strength, endurance, and coordination without adding muscle
bulk. In addition, Pilates increases circulation and helps to sculpt the body
and strengthen the body's "core" or "powerhouse" (torso).
People who do Pilates regularly feel they have better posture, are less prone
to injury, and experience better overall health.
